Welcome!
We are so glad you’re thinking of joining us at Mount Royal Emmanuel United Church — a country church in the heart of the city.
You can find us at 521 Vancouver Avenue North, nestled in the Mount Royal neighbourhood of Saskatoon. Our services begin at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday and typically last about an hour.
Here’s what you can expect when you visit:
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted warmly at the front doors by one of our ushers. They’ll offer you a bulletin that outlines the service, including prayers, Scripture readings, and the hymns we’ll sing together.
“Mount Royal Emmanuel United helped me reconnect with my faith after many years away. No judgment, no pressure — just open arms and genuine kindness.”
— Linda P., new member
Our worship style is friendly, heartfelt, and filled with music. We blend familiar hymns with newer songs, share times of prayer, and hear thoughtful reflections on faith and life. Before the service begins, we invite you to take a moment to enjoy the prelude — a chance to center yourself, take a deep breath, and step into God’s presence.
Children are always welcome! Partway through the service, we have a special “Wonder Time” where kids are invited up front for a story or activity, or stay in the sanctuary with their families — whatever feels right for you.
Following worship, we gather for Coffee Hour — a casual time of conversation, birthday celebrations, and, of course, coffee, tea, and treats. It’s a great way to meet people and feel part of the community. Coffee is free, but if you wish, you can drop a coin or two into the donation box to support our hospitality fund.
While we do take up an offering during the service, there is never any pressure to give. We believe that generosity looks different for everyone, and all gifts — of time, energy, prayer, and presence — are deeply valued.
At Mount Royal Emmanuel, we are about connection, not perfection. Come as you are. Bring your questions, your hopes, your need for community — and know that you have a place here.
